Psychology Tutor
Duties Associated with Position:
The Academic Center Tutor for Psychology works with Saint Joseph’s College of Maine students who are enrolled in Psychology classes and need additional tutoring assistance in that subject matter.

Required Skills:
TAC Tutor must have general knowledge of Psychology and ability to provide tutoring assistance to students.

The tutor will be available for students on a fixed schedule as established by The Academic Center. The tutor is expected to assist students with questions and suggest strategies for solving various problems related to Psychology material. Occasional additional study or advisement by the Academic Department Chairperson may be required for the tutor to keep current with his/her tutoring skills.

Time requirements? M, T, W, TH evenings

Employees will require additional OSHA training? No

Special Considerations:
The tutor must maintain dependability, patience, good communication skills, and the ability to get along with other students, particularly with difficult subject matter that the students may be experiencing. Tutor must have a strong knowledge of Psychology.
