Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach
Saint Joseph's College of Maine seeks a part time Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach. The Assistant Coach assists the Head Coach in all phases of the sports program to include the following: coaching, recruiting, conditioning, contest preparation, scouting, practice planning, budget preparation, fund raising, purchasing and care of equipment, planning and supervision of team travel, and monitoring the personal, academic and athletic development of student-athletes. Basic familiarity with computers, scoreboards, public address systems, etc. A bachelor’s degree and knowledge and experience in coaching or playing lacrosse is required. Supervision and Scheduling Demands: Will meet on a regular basis with the Head Coach and on an occasional basis with the Director of Athletics. Evening, nighttime, and weekend hours are expected. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: • Computer competence in word processing, database management and electronic mail. • Needs good organizational and interpersonal skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to interact with people of all ages and backgrounds. • Tolerates work related stress effectively and maintains self- control/professionalism.
