Clinical Nursing Instructors - Spring Semester 2010
The Nursing Department at Saint Joseph's College of Maine is seeking Clinical Instructors to teach Clinical Student Groups. Successful candidates will have at least a BSN with a Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred, a current Maine license in good standing, two-years medical-surgical experience and teaching experience with traditional, undergraduate nursing students preferred in precepting and orienting staff nurses. Excellent communication skills, ability to work as part of a team, a positive attitude and the willingness to support the mission and core values of Saint Joseph’s College of Maine. Minimum qualifications: - BSN - Current Maine Nursing License, in good standing - Minimum 2 years clinical experience in acute care - Team player - Demonstrates an appreciation for the needs of the novice student nurse - Excellent communication skills - Positive attitude - Flexibility Preferred qualifications: - MSN - Current Maine Nursing License, in good standing - Experience precepting or orienting staff nurses - Experience supervising nursing students in the clinical setting - Team player - Demonstrates an appreciation for the needs of the novice student nurse - Excellent communication skills - Positive attitude - Flexibility This is an ongoing recruitment effort as needs change each semester.
